Epson AcuLaser printers cover a wide range of business needs, from single stand alone colour printers through to large network printers. All AcuLaser printers have individual toner cartridges for each colour, 4 in total, and each colour is laid down singly, passing over a central OPC drum unit. The quality of the output from these printers is generally very good and many of these printers are highly recommended in computer magazines.
18th February 2008 – Epson, renowned for developing high quality printers, has today announced that it will be launching a new series of high-performance monochrome laser printers designed specifically to meet the challenges of the modern office environment. Compact, quiet and affordable, the Aculaser M2000 series provides high speed, large batch printing without compromising on quality.
Available from 1st March 2008, the M2000 series boasts a print speed of twenty-eight pages per minute and 1200dpi, and is able to deliver the first printed page within six seconds.
Mark Karsey, Business Manager at Epson UK commented, Despite the rising popularity of colour laser printers, there still remains a very high demand from businesses of all types for fast, cost-efficient day-to-day monochrome printing. The M2000 series addresses all of these requirements, offering real value for money and performance that clearly surpasses equivalent products on the market.
The two primary models in the series, the M2000D and M2000DN provide users with duplex printing at 14ppm. Duplex printing is an increasingly sought after feature for environmentally-conscious businesses looking to reduce paper consumption without reducing printing efficiency.
Unlike most economy monochrome printers already in the marketplace, the network enabled M2000DN and the M2000D are capable of high-capacity, high-speed printing. Both models come with a 300 MHz processor as standard and high memory capacities to ensure documents can be processed quickly and efficiently. The two models are also available in versions equipped with additional paper cassettes in order to offer increased maximum paper capacities from the standard of 300 sheets to 800 sheets, reducing user intervention during large print runs.
Mark Karsey continues, The combination of economy and quality provided by the new Aculaser M2000D and M2000DN is made possible through a number of unique technological innovations pioneered by Epson, including ASIC technology to process documents at speed. The AcuLaser 2000D is ideal for single users whilst the network enabled AL2000DN is perfect for small to medium workgroups.
