Canon Ink Cartridge
The Canon printer ink cartridge for your printer can be found listed under your printer's name, some of the current Pixma ink printers can accept more than one capacity of Canon ink cartridge, e.g. the Pixma MP250 multi-function printer is sold with a PG-510 black Canon printer ink cartridge and CL-511 tri-colour Canon printer ink. When you come to replace these Canon original ink cartridges, better value would be obtained by purchasing the higher capacity PG-512 and CL-513 Canon printer ink cartridges, these are physically the same size as the original cartridges but are filled with an extra 5ml of ink in the black cartridge and 3ml in the colour. Canon printers that take individual Canon printer ink cartridges, like the popular Pixma iP2702 are very economical to run as you only have to replace the colour that you have run out of, instead of replacing the whole tri-colour cartridge when one colour expires. These individual Canon ink cartridges contain as much of a single colour as all the ink in a tri-colour cartridge; an example of this type of cartridge is the CLi-8.

Canon Pixma Printers 2011
The latest range of Canon Pixma multifunction inkjet printers are the MG range. These printers along with the iP4850 printer use newly developed individual ink cartridges allowing you to only have to replace the colour cartridge that has run out. They all use two black cartridges one of which contains pigmented ink, this will ensure both crisp text and superior photo print quality. For greater greyscale definition some of these printers also have a grey cartridge.

Canon Inkjet Printer reviews
Canon Pixma iX6550 printer review
We're constantly impressed with Canon's print quality and this device creates reasonably clean black text, though with a touch of shadow to right or left of a few characters. Draft mode text is light yet still properly formed and very much what it says, ideally suitable for internal documents wherever final print quality is not crucial.
Colour print is clear and areas of colour display no symptoms of banding and very little in terms of dither patterns. Photographs come through with pure colours plus fine levels of detail both in light and dark regions of images.
