Canon I-Sensys LBP7750Cdn Review

The Canon I-Sensys LBP7750Cdn network colour laser printer proves that forking over a little bit more will in all probability prove to be money wisely spent.

Fast, capably specified and with a clutch of useful features, the LBP7750Cdn ticks pretty much every box. And astoundingly, it manages to look fairly attractive at the same time. This despite its substantial size - it possesses a sizeable footprint. And it is not simply the size of this machine that may make it challenging to accommodate. Paper will frequently be packed into the sturdy 250-sheet drawer that can be pulled out from the front of the unit.

Then again, there is also a fairly sizeable and flexible 100-sheet multi-purpose tray, which in turn has to be accessed from the side of the machine. And so, if you choose to employ the 100-sheet tray, you will have to keep at least the right side of the machine free. It is actually good to see 350-sheets given as standard, though. You can buy an additional 500-sheet A4 cassette. With maximum paper handling of 850 sheets, the LBP7750Cdn isn't really over-generous in this respect, nevertheless this should certainly be adequate for the conventional business.

The duty cycle of 75,000 sheets a month is likewise really quite ample.

The five-line Liquid crystal display screen is certainly more comprehensive compared to a lot we have looked at, and the regular checks on toner levels are helpful. The control panel contains an abundance of buttons, and you can easily control almost all aspects of the LBP7750Cdn while standing in front of it. There are conceivably a few just too many menus, and thus it may take people just a bit of time to obtain the feature they really need.

The LBP7750Cdn comes equipped with some strong remote monitoring features, and you can easily create different IDs for every different section to keep a check on how much each team is actually spending, and to control accessibility to specific users.

Ethernet facilities are provided, even though wireless isn't included. Canon does offer this as an option, but the NB-W2 board is likely to cost you very nearly as much as the cost of the printer by itself, which would make this a costly option.

The LBP7750Cdn made text at a rate of 20.8 pages per minute (ppm), and that is terrific. Better yet, the duplexing feature, which quite often gave the impression of working on three sheets of paper at once, is exceptionally rapid. The rate reduces to just 16.3ppm.

In the case of text quality, the LBP7750Cdn treads with exceptional balance. Text is well formed and pretty sharp, but it never reaches the greatest heights in either department.

The I-Sensys LBP7750Cdn features a tremendously realistic colour palette. Shades are never too much, with skin tones looking absolutely realistic, but yet green grass as well as blue skies being clearly and lovingly recreated. Where the Canon does fall down a bit is on the details of the photographs, with edges of shapes lacking perfection. Also, in places, colour gradients are not as successfully handled as on a couple of other models. PowerPoint presentations look excellent, although, with a fabulous glossy sheen. Generally we were highly impressed with the end results. Speed is also decent here, with 11.6ppm. The Canon is likewise really rapid at getting into motion, also 15 seconds for the PDF was top notch.

The Canon may very well be costly to purchase initially, nevertheless cheap operating costs will certainly make up for it. Join this with its healthy speed (in particular for duplex printing), premium quality and good specifications, and the Canon is an excellent product.
