Brother laser printers operate a system whereby the toner cartridge and drum unit are replaced individually,for example the new Brother HL2035 laser printer uses the Brother toner cartridge TN2005 and the Brother drum unit DR2005.
It is therefore important when ordering consumables to ensure that you order the correct part of the equation. The Brother toner cartridge will have to be replaced more frequently than the drum unit,as a rough guide you should probably only have to replace the drum unit after 5 or 6 toner cartridge renewals. To minimise your cost per page it is also important to order the best value toner cartridge, Brother often produce two different volumes of toner cartridge for the same Brother printer. The current Brother HL2140 toner printer and the new network printer the Brother HL2150N both come fitted with a TN2110 toner cartridge. This however is a low volume Brother toner and it is best to renew it at replacement time with the high volume TN2120 toner cartridge which gives an additional 1,100 pages from each toner cartridge.rn

Office technology specialist Brother is throwing down the gauntlet to its competitors with the launch of three new entry level mono laser toner printers targeted at the Home/ COHO and SOHO markets.
The machines in the company’s new Brother HL-2100 series feature class-leading speeds in a highly compact package that’s ideal for smaller offices where space is at a premium.In addition to 22ppm speeds, the Brother HL-2100 series machines also have first print out times of under 10 seconds and are priced from as little as £76.59 (ex VAT).
Wireless is available on the top-end model in the range, the Brother HL-2170W, for £127.65 (ex VAT), making this the best value wireless mono laser toner printer in its class.
With its pricing strategy, Brother is offering end users an attractive package at far better value than competitor products. The upgrade from its entry level Brother HL-2140 to the network ready Brother HL-2150N costs end-users just over £25.
The unique design of the new Brother laser toner models is based on sleek, ergonomic curves rather than a traditional box shape and the visual appeal is enhanced by the machines’ compact size. This is thanks to the self contained universal 250 sheet paper tray, which greatly reduces the virtual footprint of each machine.
